Summer is almost over but things are still hot here at ArtThread. Our work with VSA arts of Florida and The Creative Center of New York is going very well. We appreciate your support and we invite you to go to the Gallery to
enjoy a moment of creativity - then share it with a friend!

Jay Klein at the Livestrong Summit |

ArtThread Founder Chosen as Delegate
ArtThread's
founder Jay Klein was selected as a delegate to the Lance Armstrong
Foundation's Livestrong Summit in July in Columbus, Ohio. Delegates
were there to support the Foundation's efforts to make
cancer a national priority.
"I was inspired by the incredible courage of the survivors and by the program that Livestrong puts on," said Jay. "I was also very humbled and excited about the reception that ArtThread received from all the survivors that had a chance to see the Gallery in action."
As a 35-year cancer survivor Jay was there to share and learn from other survivors, but he was also there to lobby for the importance of psychosocial support programs that emphasize positive forms of creative expression.
"I had a chance to spend time planning future ArtThread initiatives with some of our partners who were also attending," said Jay. " And I enjoyed catching up with friends of ArtThread like Doug Ulman, CEO of the Lance Armstrong Foundation."

We are so pleased to welcome Pamela Sullins to our team - she brings a wealth of enthusiasm and expertise to ArtThread. She is amazing!
Pamela is serving as our primary liason to regional and national partners. She
